- "The Child Cases: Lessons From Canada"-- This All Things Considered piece tells the truly heartbreaking story of a woman wrongly imprisoned for the death of her child, based on purposefully tainted evidence. Sad all around.
- "Going, Going, And Gone?: No, The Oxford Comma Is Safe ... For Now"-- Love the Monkey See blog on NPR, and this type of post is the reason why. Funny, informative and just a tiny bit geeky to boot. I can't claim to have known the label "Oxford Comma," but I did used to be a regular user, until someone informed me that it was no longer the norm. Sigh. Sounds like I could have kept using it anyway, at least in supportive protest.
- "Got Low Back Pain? Massage Therapy May Rub It Out"-- Incredibly jealous. That's how I feel about the participants in the study described in this All Things Considered story. Where can I get some of that?!
- "I Was Absent That Day"-- Okay, ready for some giggles? Check out this collection of random things adults admit to not knowing, from word meanings to misunderstood phrases and the like. Funny stuff in the Pop Culture area of the NPR site.
- "Your Brain On Kids: Share Your Story"-- Looking to contribute your own ideas to an NPR story? If you have one child between the ages of 1 and 4, check out this link to submit an answer to the questions: Has parenthood changed you? Was there a moment or incident that sparked the realization? The way it reads to me is for folks who have ONLY one child, so I won't be submitting on this round, but hopefully on a subsequent question.
Happy NPR listening,
