- "Mother To Son: Hard Choice Led To Great Love"-- I've made it pretty apparent that I'm a sucker for the StoryCorps pieces often featured on Morning Edition. The one from last week had me weepy as usual- very touching.
- "High Art: Were Botticelli's Venus And Mars Stoned?"-- Oh yes, another of those catchy headlines that insists you simply must click over. Very interesting piece about an art historian's theory about a classic painting.
- "23 Things Not To Write In An E-mail"-- Learn from Lehman Brothers' stupid, dumb, huge mistake and read this short piece from Planet Money.
- "Pink Me! Pink Me!"-- A friend sent this link my way this morning for a story on the Baltimore NPR story. A children's librarian, who happens to be a friend of my friend, was interviewed on the Maryland Morning program about summer reading recommendations, and the list she provides is excellent. So many titles on there that JAM has either already read, is currently reading, or has talked about wanting to read. We'll be revisiting this list for our next library trip!
Loving NPR a whole lot more than home ownership,

As I was clicking over here, I thought, "I wonder if she has her NPR post up."
ReplyDeleteI miss NPR. I've been so busy that there hasn't been much listening at all, so unlike what frequently happens, I can't say "Oh, I loved that story."
